These deep red, mild, fruity and fragrant chilli flakes originate from the town of Aleppo in Syria. A common Middle Eastern condiment, it can be used to flavour everything from grilled seafood to roasted meats, legumes, and dips - similarly to salt, it tends to highlight the flavours of everything it's paired with. About half as hot as a regular dried chilli, use Aleppo Pepper for a hint of heat, and an earthy, fruity sweetness.
