Description

Forvum's Merlot vinegar is made from a young Merlot wine produced in the Avgvstvs Forvm vineyard overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. In this instance, no barrel aging has occurred, and its flavour is similar to the bitter-sweet range of Forvm vinegars. The rich and intense violet coloured vinegar has a vivacious flavour reminiscent of berries, jam, and red fruits, and is ideal for bringing sauces, dressings and desserts to life with its colour and intensity.

About Forvm Vinegars:

Forvm Vinegars are produced by Cellars Avgvstvs Forvm from high quality wine made in a vineyard known for its terroir overlooking the Mediterranean. Initially, the vinegars produced from the wine was only designed to be used by the family themselves - and it wasn't until an 'informal wine tasting' session resulted in an outsider falling in love with this incredible vinegar that it began to grow its own legs, so to speak. Good wine makes good vinegar, Cellars Avgvstvs suggest, and the vinegars are monovarietal, meaning that there is only one type of wine in each style of vinegar, meaning that the varieties are expressed in their pure state.
