The Desert Quandong has been a staple for First Nations peoples across Australia for a millenia. Naturally found in arid and semi-arid landscapes, the Quandong turns bright red when ripe, sometimes with splotches of yellow throughout the fruit. The fleshy and slightly tart fruit tastes like a cross between apricot, peaches and rhubarb, and has about twice the amount of vitamin C as an orange (a lot!).
