Casarecce, quite literally translating to 'homemade' are short pasta with curled edges and a fold down the middle - looking a bit like partially rolled scrolls. The homemade element comes into play as they were originally formed by shaping dough around a thin wooden or metal pin so could be made in the home as they didn't require any specialist equipment. The groove in the middle is excellent for catching sauces making every bite molto bene! 

Duro Casarecce are made from drum wheat semolina flour which is high in protein, iron, fibre, and B vitamins, and is far more durable than regular wheat pasta - ensuring that it makes its way from the pan to the plate in one piece.
