Description
Our course grey salt is found in ancient salt marshes on the coast of Guerande, in Southern Brittany, and is harvested by hand using traditional methods that date back for millennia. Once the salt comes into contact with the clay of the shore, it crystallizes into a pale grey colour and absorbs minerals - this salt is rich in magnesium and is unrefined, additive free and unwashed.
The flavour is richer and less salty than other salts from the Mediterranean. The soft salt is perfect for any sort of use, but do try it on pork crackle, sprinkled on sashimi, in a salt crust for fish, or sprinkled with rosemary and thyme on roasted vegetables.
