This conical mortar and pestle is designed with the home cook in mind - the conical shape takes up less space on the bench, but maximises surface area for grinding. The exterior of the mortar and tip of the pestle is polished black granite, which looks wonderful on any benchtop. The interior, where the magic happens, is unpolished and rough, increasing the surface area and thus productivity of the grind.
