Tonkatsu sauce could be thought of as the Japanese tomato or bbq sauce. While the sauce is a derivative of English Worcestershire sauce, the flavour developed over time to suit to the tastes of the Japanese people.

This slightly vinegary, slightly sweet, very delicious sauce cannot be separated from Tonkatsu (fried pork cutlets), but it is also incredible with anything fried. Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce is very similar to Okonomiyaki, Takiyaki and Yakisoba sauce, and can certainly be used in a pinch for these dishes.
