Kecap Manis is a distinctly Indonesian take on Soy Sauce – the soy sauce has been reduced and sweetened with palm sugar molasses. It’s found throughout Indonesian cuisine and helps to provide the funky, salty and slightly sweet flavour that Indonesian food is well known for.
