This traditional nickel plated pepper mill has a large rotating top for easy grinding, and the nickel plating provides a natural sheen that will age pleasantly over time if cared for correctly. 

These stunning handcrafted mills have been produced by a small family owned company in Thessaloniki in Northern Greece since the late 1970's. Derived from the design of a portable coffee mill given to Greek soldiers in the early 1900's, the grinding mechanism allows the user to change the coarseness of the grind, maximising aroma and fragrance of the pepper.  

As these mills are made of brass, oxidisation over time will occur. While the result is unpredictable due to variations in air moisture, the mill will develop an attractive patina over time.
