Dried chillies have a distinctly different taste to their fresh counterparts; upon drying, the caramelisation of sugars within the chilli create an intense savoury flavour - similar to how sun-dried tomatoes taste distinctly differently to raw tomatoes. 

These dried long chillies have a medium heat and a mild flavour. They're suitable for any dish that calls for dry chillies - these are the kind that would be crushed and made into 'dried chilli flakes'.
