When theres no where for the compressed cake to go, it can lead to crushing the dowel, or worse still - collapsing the cake. 

These food safe dowels have hollow centres so the cake just passes straight through them, and the plastic has been engineered to withstand the weight of multiple layers of cake. Easy to cut to length with kitchen scissors, The only way is up! 

The Large Dowels are 35cm long and have a diameter of 1.6cm, whereas the Small Dowels are 30cm long and have a diameter of 0.8cm.
