Valrhona refer to their Couverture chocolate as "Fèves". Fèves is French for "Bean" and refers to the shape of the 'chocolate drop'.

This unique single origin chocolate began was produced from cocoa beans grown on the island of Grenada, an island in the West Indies with rich volcanic soil. The island is known for the history of nutmeg, cinnamon and exotic fruits grown on it, which adds to the terroir of the region. The cocoa plantations also receive strong Atlantic breezes, which add to the freshness and peppermint notes of the chocolate itself. Expect intense notes of ripe fruit, camphor, vanilla bean and peppermint.
